SPECIAL MEMORIES IN THE NOOK - PART 3 ALASKA

SPECIAL MEMORIES IN THE NOOK - PART 3 - ALASKA

In 2009 the Nook was relocated from Grantham, NH to Ketchikan, AK.

In the hallway to the Nook were the chronological albums of my life from 1955 to the current year at that time.

Through my involvement with Ketchikan Community Chorus I met others who shared my passion for scrapbooking.  This is Grace the KCC Director's wife.

This is a card creating using the Cricut.

I often decorated the office at the Ketchikan Surgical Clinic for the holidays.

When our son moved to Ketchikan, we moved to a larger place. This location gave the Nook the most space it has ever enjoyed!

The Nook was used to do projects for the KCC.

The Ketchikan Surgical Clinic formed a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.
The Nook was used to create things for our team for the Relay for Life event.

Children love the Nook!

Children love visiting with Mocha and Latte, too when they come to the Nook!

On 10-10-10 a storm with hurricane force winds occurred in Ketchikan.

Ketchikan is built on a mountainside and a tree was ripped out from above and it hit the chimney of our fireplace - and ripped off the flashing and roof membrane.

Most of the Nook was rescued when we relocated to a temporary place.

We knew we would be moving back to the lower 48 before the storm hit sometime within the next 6 - 9 months.

Coworkers from the Surgical Clinic gathered in the Nook to create Christmas cards.

This was gift tag that was created for one of the Surgeons that received a pressure cooker.

These Ornaments were created using outline stamps that can be cut and layered.

This is what I call a "Theatre in a Box"

Snowflakes were created for the Surgical Clinic office.

Events were planned in the Nook!

Ladies gathered for a Creative Memories event.
